Nik Shkrob

Nik joined SignalFire as a Principal Software Engineer in 2025. Previously, he was an engineer at Instacart, where he helped expand non-grocery product lines and scale the platform following the COVID-driven demand surge. Before that, he worked at Square improving the Invoices product, and at Lyft, where he helped launch new ride modes such as Lyft Shuttle and Lyft Carpool, and improved reliability of pickups at airports. Nik holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in Canada. Outside of work, he spends time with his two young children - a daughter and a son. Nik enjoys hiking, biking, and is learning to play the drums.
