Asher Bantock

Head of Research

Asher joined SignalFire in 2023. He provides insights and analyses that inform SignalFire's investment strategy and enable portfolio companies' success. He also works closely with engineering to build tools and systems that guide decision-making across the firm.

Before SignalFire, Asher was a Staff Data Scientist at Block's CashApp, where he was responsible for analytics for banking products including credit offerings and direct deposits.

Prior to that, he was a Data Scientist at Medium, where he designed experimentation tools and the data infrastructure underlying Medium’s writer partner programs. Before that, he was at Facebook Messenger, where he focused on user growth and contact recommendations. He began his career at SoundCloud in Berlin as a data generalist.

Asher is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Economics. He is originally from South Africa and in his free time enjoys backpacking, lounging on the beach and noodling on the guitar.
